VOLUNTEER WARDENS

We need to keep the public informed and to monitor and record the Millponds site.  So with funding from Environment Wales we have established a Volunteer Warden programme.

Training was carried out between April and May 2009 covering:

  • Topography and geology of the site
  • The variety of habitats
  • The important birds and other priority species
  • The effect that litter has on the environment

All Volunteers received Pembroke 21C clothing and badges to identify them as Wardens.

If you care about the Millponds, walk them regularly and have the knowledge or interest then please do not hesitate to contact us we are always interested to hear from you and we may then perhaps run other courses in the future that you may be of interest to you.

If you would like to contact us please do not hesitate to ring or email us.

GARDENING

Fancy a spot of volunteer gardening?  Pembroke Millponds Volunteers have been busy around Castle Pond planting shrubs and bulbs - we are hoping to see a good show of daffs in the Spring.
