Future Plans

Proposed view of Foundry House renovation from the South West
One of our goals, the establishment of a community centre for Pembroke, has now been realized: in October we moved to Foundry House on Pembroke Commons and in March we completed purchase of the building. The building needs extensive renovation and local Architects Ananthus Holden have been appointed by the Pembroke 21C Trustees to carry out the designs. The Plans have recently been submitted for consideration and approval by the Local Authority.
Subject to their consent it is hoped that work will commence next Spring. The work will be phased both to ease the funding situation and to enable the building to be used as much as possible while work is in progress.
Chair of the trustees Gareth Jones said, "We are very excited about the plans. We have worked closely with Acanthus Holden to ensure that the building will be an attractive, pleasant and flexible place for the community to meet and undertake a whole range of leisure time activities. It will also provide Pembroke 21C with sufficient office space for its growing needs".
